The first folio atlas dedicated to the Low Countries, first published in 1617 and again in 1619, both with Latin text. This is the third and last edition and it is with French text. The Dutch provinces shown as a Lion, originally engraved by the van Langren brothers, here in its second (Kaerius) state.
The strength and beauty of the contemporary colouring in one and the same hand, makes this atlas an exceptional example.
